![]() By Emily White I recently graduated with a degree in nutrition. I had the qualifications and the knowledge to advise others on nutrition but quite frankly I had no idea where to start. It is the naive university student perception that once you have your degree, the opportunities flow and you’ll have clients in no time. That was not the case. I guess you could say I had all the gear, but no idea. For me having done a science degree, I had extremely little (no) knowledge as to how one should start and maintain a successful business and I realised how unequipped I was for the real world. I must admit it was scary, scary enough that heading back to uni and become a full time student deemed a suitable option!! That is where the Time Rich Practice course is really worth it’s weight and gold. For me it felt like you were being mentored, step by step to ensure you underwent the correct procedures to get into business. It is also based on a cheap start up model which in turn alleviates any fears of ‘failing’ as you effectively have very little to lose but everything to gain. When starting up a business there are so many things that unless you’ve done it before, you wouldn’t consider, and with the Time Rich Practice course it is outlined in a step by step process from the marketing to budgeting and more. Everything from recommendations on what website templates to use to what social media tools would best suit your brand. Having the support from someone who has personally been through many successful business start ups allows you feel confident in the process. For me, it was about feeling like I had the knowledge and the passion for this industry but lacking the ability to execute a platform where I could share this with others and make a living at the same time. The Time Rich Practice course is perfect for just that. For the amount of money you spend on getting an education it seems silly not to invest in the most vital step- the execution. |
