Carolyn Arthur is another member of the advisory board here at Holistic performance nutrition. We are lucky enough to have her as the Anatomy and Physiology guru with a vast amount of experience. She has a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science (Massey University Scholar), a grad Cert in teaching (Secondary), a certificate in personal training from NZIS and a certificate in business. She is currently teaching Anatomy and Physiology at AUT University. If you didn't think all of that was enough she is also a NZ age-group Triathlete!

When and how did you first become interested in nutrition?
I became interested in nutrition when I became an athlete and wanted to see how much of a difference nutrition could make to my sporting performance
What is the silliest nutrition myth you’ve ever heard of?
Hmmm... probably something like the cabbage soup diet. Yuck!
What is your go-to easy mid week meal?
Poached eggs on wholegrain toast with spinach, avocado and tomato, and some hummus on the side. Delish!
What are your top 3 tips for staying healthy and happy?
Get enough sleep; listen to your body when it tells you you need a rest; hug someone at least once a day
Favourite way to sweat?
So many ways! Currently it is my power and threshold sessions at V-Bike.
Biggest food weakness?
Chips and Dip!
